The Origin

Immersed Desire was born from a fragment that appeared in my mind over a decade ago. Five years ago, I finally made the decision to write it down. The earliest fragment was actually about a prequel—a story set before the world of Immersed Desire. Perhaps one day I'll write that prequel too.

Why start with this particular chapter of the story? Because I believe it offers the best window into the world of Immersed Desire—a world of desire, of youth's tender uncertainties, of emotions erupting without warning, and above all, of compassion for life and contemplation of what it means to exist…

I have always wondered why humanity exists…

And what the meaning of our existence might be…

Which sometimes leads me to ponder the meaning of this world itself…

Perhaps one day I'll weave the answers I've found into this series. Immersed Desire: Dormant is only the beginning. In my mind, there is already a prequel, a sequel, and the incomplete outline of a third volume. I hope to bring them all to life, one by one…
